Each year the STUCO presents F3, Fairview's Funniest and Finest talent contest along with Mr. FHS. Last year Derrick's skit Evolution of Dance won best overall. Only Senior boys can participate in the Mr. FHS competition. This year was a GREAT show.

Derrick surprised us all and taught himself how to play the song Tribute and played it at the show. He and Tanner Dillard got a LOT of laughs!

The Fro returned once again!

Derrick got a little cracked up! I couldn't have been more proud of him. It was totally ad libbed and they were hilarious!

Then the Senior Boys' Evolution of Dance 2 did not fail to keep up the tradition they started last year. They did a Awesome job!

Derrick was REALLY getting into it! It was hilarious! A DVD is coming out soon. I can't wait to see it.

Then Derrick was in another skit called Here It Goes Again ~ This was really cool. They danced on 6 treadmills.

Definitely worth watching on DVD - Can't tell you how cool this was!

The Big finale!

On to Mr. FHS ~ After the talent portion of the evening (18 Acts) they started the Mr. FHS competition. Each guy had things about themselves that was read ~ Such as what was your favorite childhood TV Show, what animal best represents your personality.

Derrick was looking sharp and entertaining everyone once again!

I think it fits him perfectly! Everyone was going on during the intermission about how funny he was and how it looked like he was really enjoying himself!

Jackets vs Mount St. Mary's

The Jackets hosted Mt. St. Mary's on Friday and chalked up a BIG win for the evening!

Derrick was one of team captains for the game.

The rest of the Seniors joined hands behind Derrick and the other captains.

Exciting Trip Home!

10/17/08

On the way home from the Heritage Hall game about midnight we were on 412 and all of a sudden came up on 6-7 black cows in the road! It was too dark to see them and there was nothing we could do but plow through them going about 70 mph!

We killed four of the cows and another was clearly not right. They were estimated to be about 600 lb steers. It was VERY SCARY! I was driving but glad I wasn't by myself! It took forever for the OHP to arrive and everyone was speeding past us. The scary thing was that we were stuck in the right hand lane because after the impact my car died.

The Explorer is totaled so I guess we're in the market for another vehicle. It could have been much worse than it was.

We are definitely counting our blessings!

We blamed the accident on the Krispy Kreme Donuts! If we hadn't stopped for the donuts after the game, we may not have hit the cows. But.... the donuts sure were good.

Heritage Hall Game

Jackets Travel to Heritage Hall

The Jackets traveled to the "big city" to play Heritage Hall who is number in the state in our class and undefeated thus far. To some it was a long shot but the boys fought like champions. The game was televised on channel 52 so that was fun. We traveled to the game with big hopes of upsetting the Chargers. But... it didn't quite happen.

We scored on our opening drive which was VERY exciting but that was the last time we would score during the game. The score was 21-7 going into half time but they ran away with the game to end with a score of 42- 7. The score didn't reflect the heart they all played this game with.

Derrick's dad surprised him and was at the game. I wish I would have gotten a picture of them together but that didn't work out. I know he was very excited to have him there.

Coach Cayot commended their effort and said the score doesn't refect how tough they played

Heritage Hall's school was like a college campus! Holy Cow it's nice what a private school can do. Everyone was excited that they had Chick-Fil-A in the concession stand and cheese cake!
