Derrick took Kamron Ewald to the prom this year.

~

Uncle Chad went to Tulsa to pick up Derrick's ride for the night.. A cool Cadillac CTS. It was a sweet ride. We almost got him in a 1959 BMW Isetta! We thought it was very cool but changed our minds at the last minute. (We didn't think he could learn to drive a standard in an hour)

Dani came over and I did her make up - Kela came over and got dressed. It was a busy place fore a while. Dakota's date got dressed at our house too.

We were going to take pictures outside but the wind was blowing like crazy so we took them inside. They turned out REALLY cute!

There is a big audience that watches everyone pull up and they are announced as they walk up to the door on to the red carpet and pictures are taken as they go into the building.

All in all I think prom was a success. They had dinner then went to a hypnotist. Derrick was hypnotised. Haven't heard the details yet. Then they had a dance. After they dance they closed down town and had thing to do down town till 4:30 this morning - Movies, basketball, bowling alley, volleyball, games, video games... whatever and they cooked them hamburgers sometime in the middle of the night.

They gave it everything they had and it was a close game. But they lost by one in an extra inning.

Uncle Chad and I took the afternoon off to watch the game and of course the wind blew like crazy.

And that was the end of the tournament. Since they lost they don't have to worry about playing tomorrow, and that's ok since prom is tomorrow.

Band Concert

Derrick was awesome as usual! Our little band prodigy... he'll love that! lol This is the beginning of the last things we will be attending for Derrick. ; ( The next to the last band concert.... The next month and a half is going to fly by! I just got the notice in the mail that his cap and gown will be in next week! That took my breath away. But I digress.... Back to the band concert!

The played several songs I didn't know but liked Joyant Winds, Allied Honor, Jubiloso, Eagle Mountain Overture and some that we knew like a medley from Annie, Bella's Lullaby, and Wizard of Oz.
